The course is being reconducted as a Master of excellence by the European Commission for the next 5 years, thus still offering huge scholarships for students accepted, writes Catherin Pellier who looks after the international students admission.
The Indian students who want to make wine as their profession and meet the basic requirements are encouraged to download the application form on their website, www.vintagemaster.com where all the information about content and organization of the course is available.
Please note the main pre-requisites:
* Applicants must have completed a higher education degree in science, such as :a B.Sc. (a 4-year course in the fields of biology, agronomy, chemistry, industry, food processing, economic sciences etc.)
* Applicants must demonstrate interest for the wine profession.
* A good level of English and French is mandatory.
The downloaded form can be filled in and sent along with the documents required, no later than November 15th 2009, for enrolment in September 2010 to Catherine Pellier. This would allow you to participate into the selection for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
In case you wish to apply to the International Vintage Master, without being candidate to the Erasmus Mundus scholarship, deadline would be 31st January 2010; this will allow for applying to a special scholarship from their local authority “Region des Pays de la Loire” (a one year scholarship of approx. €3500) . Final deadline for applying without any scholarship programme is 15th April 2010.
In the meantime, one is encouraged to learn French intensively, so that the proficiency level required is achieved before the course begins.
