|  This is a real treat for Rose lovers. Made from 65% Garnacha (Grenache) and 35% Cariñena (Carignan), this wine with a dark pink pleasant colour looks like a masculine Rose. Slightly off-dry, full of red fruits like cherries and raspberries, it is very easy and fresh on the palate. Tannins are soft and make it a classic wine for enjoying as an aperitif or with Indian cuisine with a wider spectrum including veg and non veg foods.
At a recently organised wine dinner for the Delhi Wine Club, this wine went to bat first with the Tapas at the Sevilla Restaurant at the Claridges. The members liked it so much that the wine with the label purchased as a part of the portfolio of 6 wines from Torres, evaporated quickly, validating my claim that it is a delicious, no-nonsense wine for gourmets, connoisseurs and novices alike for hot weather.
It retails at around Rs.1300 in Gurgaon and Rs.1400 in Delhi but at which price it is a decent wine falling outside our ‘We Recommend’ horizon. The importers and distributors, Prestige Wines and Spirits, have offered to sell them to the delWine subscribers at a special price of Rs.950 each if an order of 3 cases (36 bottles) is placed for delivery in Gurgaon.
