Feb 09: Wine is known to offer a lot of benefits but a couple quarantined in the cabin of their cruise ship Diamond Princess, found boredom was a problem that could be resolved with wine and requested their wine club to send some wine, and the Club obliged by sending them two cases of wine through a drone on February 7, making a beautiful human story that might bring a smile on the faces of thousands stuck in the quarantine and a story for their grand children

The couple from Palm Beach in Queensland, Australia with limited on-board supplies in the ship stuck in Japan near Yokohama, Jan and Dave Binskin, requested Naked Wine Club, of which they are apparently members, to ship some wine to them on the ship. Perhaps it was out of boredom or half-jokingly they requested but they did not expect the wine but were pleasantly surprised when the Club shipped them two cases by a drone, according to their post on Facebook on February 7.

The following day it seemed the couple had more positive news. They were allowed to disembark from the ship which had been anchored for 5 days. They left for a 12-hour trip and returned to port this morning (Sunday) to be quarantined for confinement to their small cabin. They were quarantined, when the ship arrived on Monday to dock at the Yokohama Port, South of Japan after an 80-year-old passenger who had disembarked from the cruise in Hong Kong earlier was diagnosed with the virus, putting to risk the health of all passengers who came in his contact on the ship.
Since Wednesday, the number of passengers confirmed infected jumped to 64 yesterday, as the remaining 3,700 passengers huddle in their quarters and wait to see if symptoms of the deadly virus appear, according to the report in Daily Mail.

The Facebook page of Jan Dan Binskin said on Feb 7: 'On a lighter note in the middle of the Kaos yesterday we get a ring from our wine club I asked if they do free freight to Japan. (In reply they said) we have arranged for two cases to be delivered by drone.' Within hours of ordering his wines, pleased Binskin shared a photo of a couple of bottles of King Crawford Pinot Noir He said the Japanese guard was confused when he spotted the drone but did nothing to stop the delivery.

Meanwhile According to the latest information on CNN on Sunday evening (Indian time), 70 people are confirmed to have tested positive. The ship is quarantined till February 19. Over 400 Americans on the ship have requested to be taken ashore where they are willing to undergo quarantine. But the government has decided to follow the preventive measures taken by the Japanese government and they must all wait in the ship at least till February 19.
