Jan 08: Moet Hennessy India, a part of French conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), announced on Wednesday, the appointment of Ipsita Das as managing director, of Moet Hennessy India with the outgoing Managing director, Stephane Albert Sylvester Meurville Rol moving on to the Californian subsidiary, Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley after 4 years managing the company in India
 
   
   
   
    An  alumnus of St. Stephens College Delhi and Indian School of Business,  she joined Moët Hennessy India as the Commercial Director in 2019.

   Das has  earlier worked with Uber, Maersk and Housing.com. She brings over 14 years of  experience in multinational organizations as well as technology  start-ups where she held various roles in commercial, operations and  general management.  
   Moet  Hennessy India Private Limited (MHI) is a subsidiary of Moet Hennessy, a  subsidiary of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), the world’s leading luxury  group. Incorporated in India on April 1, 2001, the company imports, and sells  the MH luxury portfolio of wines and spirits. It also manages the Chandon  winery in Nashik and markets Chandon sparkling wines pan India. It imports and  markets Cloudy Bay, Dom Perignon, Krug, Moët & Chandon, Ruinart and Veuve  Clicquot wine and bubblies besides other alcoholic products. She will drive  business for these brands in India.
   “These  are exciting times, for the Indian market, not just for our award- winning  Indian product Chandon that we produce in our winery in Nashik, but also for  our larger imported portfolio for which India is an emerging market. Besides  the established hospitality and retail business, our focus would also be on  weddings and the corporate market, as we grow our presence in the  subcontinent," Das reportedly said in a statement.
   Stephane  Albert Sylvester Meurville Rol, the outgoing Managing Director who had joined  the company earlier in January 2017 is moving to Domaine Chandon in Napa Valley  California.
