Launching Mumbai is part of our development plan, after New Delhi and Shillong, to serve the Indian market better. By organising in different states, we provide the Indian Food community with various platforms in India. Similarly, the international exhibitors use these different shows to develop their business and extend their footprints within India.”

Rod Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium- a merged entity from two stakeholders- Comexposium and Vinexpo in equal strength, is in-charge of all the Vinexpo and Bulk Trade Shows, including World Bulk Wine Exhibition in Amsterdam and China, which Arora has had the privilege to attend and also judge wines at the Competition every year, for a decade. In a zoom chat Rod said he was very happy with SIAL India partnering with Vinexpo India. Without getting into the plans of Vinexpo beyond December 2021, he asserted that he was a keen promoter of smaller shows like Vinexpo India and was keen to promote Indian wines in the global scenario which this event will offer.

Partnering SIAL India and Vinexpo India, Inter Ads is a reputed organizer of international trade exhibitions and conferences in India with decades of experience working with acclaimed exhibition management companies. Rajan Sharma, Director, Inter Ads Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, says “Since the launch of SIAL in India in 2018, we have seen a great response from the market. The growth plan was always to take SIAL India to different states and cities to better serve the Indian Market. Our Studies indicated a big need by the market for SIAL Mumbai.

With a unique strength of food and wine coming together at the same platform in the two shows, Rod and Rajan would like to see synergy in both the sectors. The Indian wine industry is expected to get a major boost from these projects in India where the producers can showcase their wines alongside global producers looking for a market. After over a decade, India is set to participate in a truly global Show-and that too, along with a Food Show.
