Red wine is rich in an antioxidant called resveratrol. It is a polyphenol that is prevalent in grape juice and grape skin. These antioxidants protect the organs and cells of your body by fighting free radicals. As per studies, resveratrol acts as an activator of a protein called sirtuin. Sirtuin plays a vital role in age-related processes like energy metabolism, endocrine signaling, and growth regulation. It promotes longevity and good health. Studies also show that moderate consumption of wine leads to longer life spans.

Studies show that consumption of wine reduced the risk of dementia as compared to non-drinkers. Wine also contains resveratrol that helps in the free flow of glucose and oxygen to the brain by dilating the blood vessels. It keeps your mind active, retains memories, and keeps your brain alive.
