Wine Culture heads for City of Nawabs

Mumbai-based importer FineWinesnMore has been introducing out-of-the-box concepts to increase the wine consumption and increase its market share, the latest being the launch of the  FWMclub  in Lucknow,  the city of Nawabs.

On one of the very hot April evenings, 17th April, the Nawabs- old and the modern, had one thing in mind-wine. There mustn’t have been anyone left holding the keys to the city because they all turned up at that wonderful oasis of calm and cool on the outskirts of town, the Genesis Club.

They came in their droves like bears to a honey pot, and left a plethora of empty bottles in their wake. The reason? The FineWinesnMore road show was in town for the auspicious occasion of the launch of perhaps the first wine club in Lucknow and by all accounts, there mustn’t have been anyone left holding the keys to the city because they all seemed to turn.

Mediterranean was the theme and for this balmy Lucknow evening.  Even the musicians and the eye raising antics of the belly dancer added a somewhat ethereal ambiance to this wine event. Due to popular demand and a surprising amount of requests and enquiries regarding fine wine, FWMclub is now a fully fledged addition to the Lucknow wine landscape.

Judging by the incredible amount of enthusiasm of the more than 500 people who congregated, this pioneering step by FineWinesnMore is yet another move forward for the import company headed by Dharti Desai and her dynamic young group under the stewardship of Craig Wedge.
