As an Export Manager for Albert-Bichot, Dr. Jamal, addressed
as Doc by his friends he introduced and popularized the Burgundian wine
brand in India and is widely known and respected in the wine circle. He
has worked for various wine producers in Burgundy, Beaujolais and Cotes
du Rhone both on the technical aspects of Wine making and vineyard Management.
Says Aman Dhall, Executive Director of Brindco, "With the growth
rate in India of over 30% every year for luxury wines, it was time for
us to respond to the increasing market demands with a professional approach
and with a global perspective. It is through this appointment that we
shall amplify the dynamism of the local consumer market and also imprint

Ariff’s French wife had always inspired him every since they met
as undergraduate students at the University of Freiburg in Germany. She
convinced him to live in France. Now he seems to have convinced her to
come and live in India so he can become a part of the Indian Wine Industry.
