Adrian had been generally known as a Sula man, always by the side of Rajeev Samant, making some people not known to Rajeev wonder if Adrian was not his personal bodyguard. He was actually the National Marketing Manager – looking after its sales.
Last year, when there were talks of Diageo trying to take a big stake in Sula, and it could not acquire any shares in Sula in the take over bid, they did the next best thing-they simply poached Adrian Pinto.
His job at Indage involves marketing of non traditional brands. This means he may sell Tiger Hills but not Chantilly. He was seen at the IFE-India 2008 where he had come from Mumbai to visit the Chateau Indage stand in the wine and spirits pavilion, where India's largest producer had also taken part in the show along with Sula.
