'I don't want to fight for my share in the existing miniscule wine market but strive to expand the market and carve out my own niche,' said Vikash while sharing a plethora of his new innovative gift ideas with delWine the other day.
After sponsoring wine and art shows, a wine club at Gurgaon, Vikash is ready with a host of corporate gift items within the second year of his operations, if you consider April-March fiscal year as a year of operation.
Diwali is a great occasion for distributing gifts like sweets, chocolates so why not wines- and why not wine gift packs, he pondered while scouting around for new ideas. And why not simultaneously address the perennial problem of wine drinkers not always finding an opener? So every gift item contains a stopper and a bar waiter's cork screw, the easiest to use wine opener, once you open your mind to using it.
A permutation and combination with single and multiple leather wine holders, metallic serving trays, designer wine racks, jewellery box, coasters, photo frames, leather magazine totes- and of course wine bottles numbering 1-6. The cost varies from Rs. 1200 to 4700 and with so many variations possible; he plans to add more to the range. Perhaps, he may be planning to enter wine accessories market too, though he did not disclose any such plans while sharing his vision
'My purpose is to give value add to our wines,' says Vikash. With retail being allowed, it should do well for the sale of his wines during the ensuing season which starts officially on October 1, when Navratras begin.
Opera is currently importing five wine labels from Emilia- Romagna and Chianti regions in Italy and branding them at winery sites. Wines from Montalcino are very much on the cards and may adorn his gift collection soon.
What an Opera idea to increase wine consumption!
