Graduate Wine Ambassador Program at Pernod Beckons India

Oct 22: Pernod Ricard, makers of Jacobs Creek wines among several other wineries in their Portfolio have a Graduate Wine Ambassador Program that now offers the qualified graduates in India an opportunity to join as well, according to the communiqué received from Adrian Pinto, Senior Manager-Wines in India for Pernod-Ricard

If you are a budding winemaker, you might be interested in becoming a graduate winemaker. If you are more interested in representing their brands and travelling the world, the ambassador program may be for you.

Pernod Ricard Winemakers is the premium global wine division of Pernod Ricard – the world’s co-leader in wine and spirits. For the budding winemaker the company invests in the future talent of the wine industry through the new Graduate Winemaker Program. It is a two-year curriculum that will give successful winemaking graduates the opportunity to work for a company rich in heritage with a strong focus in wine innovation. One can learn from some of the finest winemaking experts in the industry and develop the art of winemaking, while building the individual career.

The applicant shall receive hands-on practical experience at multiple winemaking facilities and their headquarters in Australia or New Zealand and will be able to get a holistic view of the business, including Operations, Marketing and Sales. He would be involved in a cross-functional innovation project which will help develop creativity skills and give one the right exposure.

The Program will give university graduates with a genuine passion for wine the opportunity to gain industry qualifications and get hands-on experience of working at wineries and head offices around the world. They will work under a mentor who will train them on various aspects of winemaking.

After the Graduate Wine Ambassadors complete their training, they will go into Pernod Ricard Winemakers' key established and emerging international markets where they will naturally champion the company’s passion for their wines brands. Thus, the job is assured too.
