Feb 12: In order to give the taste of a wide range of their offerings, Jacob’s Creek is organizing a single ‘Reserve Table’ Dinner on March 1 for the wine lovers of Delhi outside the premier Japanese Restaurant, Akira Back at Hotel JW Marriott where 100 people sitting across the single largest laid out table in India will enjoy the multi-specialty cuisines with their wines

Click For Large ViewThe World’s Most Awarded Winery of 2014 is presenting its unique global concept of ‘The Reserve Table’ for the first time in India. Starting with the first ever ‘Longest Reserve Table’ simultaneously in Delhi and Bangalore on March 1, 2015, the Jacob’s Creek experience will be extended to other key areas in India, according to a Press Release.

The objective is to bring together gourmets  who love great cuisine with fine wines to share their stories and experiences  while celebrating the premium wines offered by Jacob’s Creek Reserve paired with a well curated 5-course Menu. The Delhi event will be outside Akira Back with dishes from this and other specialty restaurants of the hotel. It has also been announced for March 20 in Mumbai at ITC Grand Central.

The Longest Reserve Table is a result of Jacob’s Creek Reserve partnership with leading 5-star hotels across metro cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Gurgaon, where the chefs will be pushing the boundaries to create tantalizing dishes to complement select wines from the Jacob’s Creek Reserve range sourced from two of Australia’s most premium wine regions- Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills.

Commenting on the launch, Kartik Mohindra, Business Head of the International Brands at Pernod Ricard India says, “Jacob’s Creek Reserve Table offers consumers a unique dining experience, showcasing our premium range of Jacob’s Creek Reserve wines and their versatility with various cuisines.”

Soon after the launch, four leading restaurants in each city will offer a similar fare matched with Jacob’s Creek led by Jacob’s Creek Reserve showcasing their culinary expertise. Wine lovers and gastronomy enthusiasts can book a seat at their city’s ‘Longest Reserve Table’ or their own ‘Reserve Table’ to experience the unique culinary experience by making an online reservation at www.reservetableindia.com.

Delhi Wine club which has organized 237 similar wine dinners since its inception in 2002 will also participate in this unique event. Subhash Arora, Founder President of the premier Club says, ‘the members love good food with 4-5 wines at these dinners where they also learn about winemaking and the wines besides enjoying the gourmet experience of the evening. I love Jacob’s Creek Reserve and I think it will be a great opportunity for the limited number of members that would be allotted a seat, to savour the experience.’

The wine line-up at these events will include Jacob’s Creek Reserve Barossa Shiraz, Jacob’s Creek Reserve Adelaide Hills Chardonnay besides the Classic Chardonnay and Shiraz Cabernet. Both their bubblies, Jacob's Creek Chardonnay Pinot Noir and Jacob's Creek Rosé will sparkle at these evenings.

Barossa & Adelaide Hills Regions

Barossa is barely an hour’s drive from Adelaide, where the first vines were planted over 160 years ago.  It consists of two regions – the warm Barossa Valley and the cooler Eden Valley ranges. Characterized by gentle rolling hills and valleys, Barossa Valley’s mediterranean climate is perfect for growing luscious Shiraz, nurturing the grapes to develop soft velvety tanins and delicious flavours the region is world famous for. It’s rich full bodied Shiraz is a unique combination of ripe plum, blackberry and chocolate flavours that are typical in the Barossa. Jacob’s Creek Reserve Barossa Shiraz is a fine expression of the region.

Adelaide Hills is a young vibrant wine region. Its twisting hills and valleys provide an array of growing conditions that yield elegant and complex wines. The cool climate of the region allows the grapes to retain high natural acidity which is ideal for producing crisp and refreshing Chardonnay. The wine displays delicious citrus notes with hint of white peach combined with roasted cashew nut nuances from oak barrel ageing. This makes Adelaide Hills a perfect region for the Jacob’s Creek Reserve Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.

Jacob’s Creek Reserve Barossa Shiraz is richly perfumed and aromatic, with intense dark berry fruits. It is layered subtly with black pepper and restrained, stylish oak, supported by softly textured fruit tannins. The finish is long and savoury. It is a genuine expression of the terroir of Barossa-the region that made the world take a note of Australian Shiraz.

Jacob’s Creek Reserve Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a full flavoured wine with crisp acidity,  elegant structure and a rich creamy texture. An intense expression of a cool climate Chardonnay, it has flavours of citrus and white peach, with shades of spicy oak and cashews- an expression of delicious Chardonnay from Adelaide Hills.

Named after the place where Johann Gramp planted his first vines on the banks of Jacob’s Creek in 1847 Jacobs Creek was launched in 1976. Known universally as JC, It is one of Australia’s leading global wine brands that offer good value for money. For years it has been the leading selling foreign wine brands in India. It is also one of the most awarded wineries and was named the world’s most awarded winery by the World Association of Wine-Writers and Journalists last year.
