|  Mr.Chakraborty joins Sofitel with over 25 years of hospitality experience. He has worked as General Manager for over a decade at the two Hotels-the Yak and Yeti in Nepal, The Leela Kempinski Kovalam and Mumbai as well as the grand Mövenpick Hotel & Spa Bangalore.
Under his stewardship, Mövenpick Hotels & Spa Bangalore was the first 5- star hotel to be certified as the Green Globe Hotel in India. He was awarded the ‘General Manager of the Year’ by Hotelier India in 2009 amongst other honours. He held key positions in Sales and Marketing as DSM in Oberoi Hotels Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai, as well as served the Taj Group. He is an alumnus of the Bangalore University, Cornell University, Lausanne Hospitality Consulting, McKinsey & Company and Mercuri Goldmann.

Maintaining the theme, the hotel will revel in the glory of its two years over two days on 1st and 2nd February 2014.
Commemorating the 2nd Anniversary, Sofitel Mumbai BKC will ensure its guests receive a pleasant surprise in their room. Adding to the spice, each restaurant will feature “The Best of 2” signature gastronomic creations reminiscing the two years since the hotel’s opening in February 2012.
