The course will cover topics such as Sensory Analysis,
Organoleptic Wine Tasting Technique, Making of Wines, and Serving of Wines,
allowing connoisseurs of the finest ambrosia to discover the subtleties
and nuances of wine-tasting.
The course will be mentored by The Federation of Italian
Sommeliers, Hoteliers & Restaurateurs (FISAR) and The Italian Culinary
Institute for Foreigners (ICIF), two of Europe's most prestigious culinary
organisations.
Said Mr. Narindar Nayar, President IICCI, "The
Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to be one of the
main organizers of India's first-ever Sommelier course. Our country is
at a crossroads where East is increasingly meeting West, and it is with
great pride that we hope to truly educate the Indian consumer about wines
from Italy and Europe."
The course is designed to enhance the participant's knowledge
and experience with the world of wines, whether they are CEOs or chefs
looking to broaden their culinary horizons. On completion, participants
will be Italian-certified Sommeliers.
