Ask anyone who has met Ambassador H.E. Lorenzo Angeloni and one has glorious things to say about him. No matter who the person, he immediately brings himself to the level of the person and makes him or her feel important; he is very down to earth, very affable and charming host and intensely popular.
That’s the impression, the members of the Delhi Wine Club who were special invitees for the evening on July 12 at his residence, also formed. Many had expected him stand-offish with plastic smiles and were presently surprised, each feeling he had seen a new friend in him. He is a rock star and just the right person to further improve the relationship between the two countries, see a nadir because of the unfortunate issue, which is behind us and the relationship is improving at a very fast pace.

Every Ambassador and the Commercial Counselor including Raffaele Langella and the current Counselor, Alessandro de Masi supporting, so had been Italian Trade Commission (ICE), and that's why we had been able to promote Italian wines in a big way and would continue to do so.
We had taken 21 wines which included a few choice wines from Lakeforest Wines, importer and sole distributor for Haryana , thanks to, the Country Head, Sherry Anne Sudan who also attended the evening. Including the 4 labels served by His Excellency, there were 25 wines available for tasting!!
What an evening! What hospitality! What bonhomie! The Ambasciatore was very relaxed and approachable. His popularity could be gauged by the fact that Shazia Ilmi-one of the celebrity guests requested him not to go back in March 2019 when his term gets over and seek and extension.
We second that and hope for improving relations between the two countries, he is asked to stay back for at least couple of years more. Meanwhile, we thank him for inviting Delhi Wine Club to the event, giving us a special recognition and for being a very charming, wonderful host for an event where food, wine and warm hospitality were a given.
