Wine India Moves :Ariff Jamal Moves On

Burgundy based Dr. Ariff Jamal who had joined Brindco last year has decided to move back to his homeland after finishing the contract. He had been working earlier with Albert Bichot as their Export Manager and had helped develop the Indian market for Bourgogne wines and their brand in India.

Ariff had been given a special assignment last year by Brindco, which had bought a minority share in the Bangalore based Grover Vineyards in 2007, to work with the winery as CEO to sort out some quality problems they were having at that time. He helped the winery come back to its track of original glory and quality wines.

While in India, Ariff known as Doc to his friends had often indicated that the family was not keen to settle down in India and so he decided not to renew the contract when it came up for renewal on July 1.

Dear Subhash, Thank you for posting this small, but sweet article concerning my departure. I shall keep you posted on my next coming projects – and who knows - “Incredible India” may once again be part of the agenda. If you are in my part of the world, you are most welcome.Regards – Doc.
