Ariff had been given a special assignment last year by Brindco, which had bought a minority share in the Bangalore based Grover Vineyards in 2007, to work with the winery as CEO to sort out some quality problems they were having at that time. He helped the winery come back to its track of original glory and quality wines.
While in India, Ariff known as Doc to his friends had often indicated that the family was not keen to settle down in India and so he decided not to renew the contract when it came up for renewal on July 1. |
