Nandi Valley Launches Kinvah Manthan

Bangalore-based Nandi Valley Winery, a relative newcomer to wine production in Karnataka has launched a new Label, Kinvah Manthan, in Bangalore at Rs. 430 with the help of Italian winemaker, Luca Patricelli.

The wine is a rather unique and unheard-of blend of Merlot, Zinfandel, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The company claims it to be made from French grapes, despite the use of Californian Zinfandel (Primitivo in Italy). Although it has not been available for tasting yet, the ‘sweet and fruity’ young wine is curiously recommended to be allowed to breathe for an hour before serving.

Available across wine stores and supermarkets in Bangalore, the wine can also be ordered online on www.nandivalleywinery.com. Currently, a total of 5 variants are available, each at Rs.430. There is a one-for one offer on all the wines making its cost Rs. 215 each. At this price, it might give run for money to the likes of Zinzi, Sante, Madera, Riviera and other similar table wines.

Nandi Valley Winery is a Bangalore-based wine producer claiming to ‘cater to wine producers and novices alike’. Launched in October 2008, Kinvah is already boasting to be among the highest selling brands in Bangalore with the achieved sales of 1000 cases a month, according to their website.

The winery had signed an MOU in November last year with Indage Vintners, for bottling of over 32 labels for the next five years.
