 During the last edition, SIAL China had a record 28,528 trade visitors from 84 countries and 1,057 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions took part. 50% of the exhibitors at the show are from mainland China. The other 50% are from all over the world with 20 International pavilions from France, USA, Spain, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Argentina, Tunisia, Turkey, Taiwan China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, South Korea, Poland, Uruguay, Iran, Portugal, Ireland, Philippines and India.
Besides food and hospitality, SIAL China is also a showcase for wine and spirits. It received last year 175 Wine and Spirits exhibitors from 17 countries. More than 12,000 visitors came with strong interest in this sector. It holds several wine events during the show such as the Wine Innovation Forum: a display presenting the worldwide wine markets, the Best Buy China competition etc.
