Wine Dinner : L'Art de la Table in Bangalore by FWM

FineWinesnMore hosted a soirée titled “L’Art de la table” at the Leela Palace, Bangalore last week, the first in a series of events focusing on different regions and their art at the table, starting with France and its fine wines and gourmet food.

The event was organized in collaboration with the American Express to introduce WINEESSENTIALLY, a wine concierge service created exclusively for platinum charge card members of American Express and is available by invitation only.

Ms. Dharti Desai, CEO of FineWinesnMore and Mr. Rajesh Saxena, CEO of - American Express were present to welcome the guests with a glass of Canard-Duchêne Champagne being imported by FWM.

Mr. Alexis Petit Gats, the global brand ambassador for the Champagne had come specially for the occasion. Mingling with the guests he engaged them with the fascinating history of this champagne house.

“From the heart of the Champagne appellation, Canard-Duchêne has been hand crafting intense, complex Champagnes since 1868” Alexis said about the much appreciated Champagne.

Craig Wedge, the international wine consultant for FineWinesnMore followed the introduction to the evening by presenting wines from M. Chapoutier.

The food which included spiced scallops was thoughtfully paired with M. Chapoutier, Cotes du Rhône Blanc, Belleruche. The complexity and subtleness of M. Chapoutier Chateauneuf-du-Pape La Bernardine was showcased beautifully by deliciously pairing it with the lamb shank, and bringing out the essence of the wine.

Alexis Petit Gats and Craig Wedge singled and mingled with guests, giving them some insights on the French wines and also the nuances and highlights of L’Art de la Table- Art of the Table, in France.

To keep the lingering finish of the wine on their palates last even longer, the guests were presented with a bottle of Canard Duchene as a souvenir by FineWinesnMore to enable them to continue to savour their fine wine experience.

As is becoming a routine with Dharti Desai, FineWinesnMore contributed 10% of the proceeds of the event to the NGO “Save the Children Foundation, India”.
