The conference titled as WineCreator
is being organised on 18th and 19th April with the objective of exploring
the styles, trends and the unique nature of wine as it is being developed
throughout the wine world today and treat it as an art form. It is a first
conference of its type.
The panel of twenty experts is headed by Jancis Robinson and includes:
Stephen Tanzer, Charles Metcalfe, Robert Joseph, Joel Payne, Bob Campbell
MW, Michael Fridjhon and James Halliday,
The wine creating dozen are Ales Kristancic, Paul Draper, Ricardo Cotarella,
Álvaro Palacios, Peter Sisseck, Stephane Derenoncourt, Carlo Ferrini,
Jean-Claude Berrouet, Michel Rolland, Dirk Niepoort, Denis Dubourdieu
and Olivier Humbrecht MW.
Sessions include panel discussions on topics like, 'Grape varieties and
terroir', 'What does the wine creator do in the vineyard,'' What does
the wine creator do in the winery', 'Tradition, culture and innovation',
'What influence do they have' etc.
The Registration charges of €3,500 may be too steep for India , but
the conference does give you an opportunity to meet some of the best wine
critics and wine makers and also taste their wines.
The event will be held every other year in different venues throughout
the world.
