Wine experts from Maybach had visited earlier to select
the grapes and set the specifications.
The entire project has been completed with an investment
of approximately Rs 50 lakhs ($120,000). The company aims to enter the
Indian market with an average pricing of Rs 350-390 ($9-10) a bottle,
slightly lower than the equivalent wines available in the market right
now.
Karan Nevatia, director of Sundeep Vintners adds, "We
are also looking at exporting the wines, especially to overseas Indian
restaurants which have high demand for Indian-made wines." According
to him the product is available already at 120 stores.
Apart from Maybach Sundeep Vintners also import wines
from Boisset , Ginestet and , Trimbach among other labels.
