Champagne Indage to Roll Out Tiger Hill in US Market

Champagne Indage Ltd (CIL), India’s largest wine maker, is launching its new brand, Tiger Hill, in the US, reports the Mumbai newspaper, Daily News & Analysis.

The company is tying up with the US$6-billion Southern Wine & Spirits of America Inc, the largest wine and spirits distributor in the US. Tiger Hill will be distributed through Shaw-Ross, a division of Southern Wine & Spirits.

The company plans to launch Tiger Hill in California and later in other states. Three of its major brands – Soma, Omar Khayam and Mist of Sahyadri – are being marketed in the US through another distributor, Shirazi Wines.

Ranjit S. Chougule, Managing Director, Champagne Indage, told DNA Money: “We are planning to sell 25,000 cases of Tiger Hill in the first year in the US.” The wine, which will be targeted at the NRI community, will be priced at US$12 a bottle.
