Starwood Hotels and Resorts, the global hotel and leisure company, and owner of the Sheraton brand, plans to launch three Westin brand hotels in India, along with the Vatika group, with a projected spending of Rs 750 crore.
The hotels will be located at Gurgaon and Sohna, both in the neighbourhood of New Delhi, and Bangalore. Expected to be completed in the next three years, these properties will be managed and operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, reports The Economic Times .
Westin Resorts, Sohna, which will sprawl across 35 acres and will have only 100 rooms, will be launched in December, followed by the one in Gurgaon by next year, Vatika Group's Executive Director Gaurav Bhalla told ET . Westin Hotel, Bangalore, will open in 2009 and will have 300 rooms. |
