As alcohol levels in Australian wines rise to above 15%, more and more consumers are looking for quality alternatives with lower alcohol content.
Pirra is a new wine label that is providing a solution for wine drinkers across Australia. Launched by Pirramimma Wines of McLaren Vale this ground-breaking new label is a reduced alcohol wine that maintains all of the taste and flavour of the regular product.
Pirramimma’s wine-maker Geoff Johnston says that by “using a brand new wine making technology we have been able to reduce the wines alcohol levels by up to 30%, providing wine lovers with a fresh and lively Sauvignon Blanc Semillon (9.5%), a rich and lush Grenache Shiraz Merlot (11.5%) and a bubbly Chardonnay to be released in mid-late September.
