The federal ban on carry-on liquids aboard airliners worries vineyard owners in Napa and Sonoma counties, who fear that added security measures will discourage wine country travellers from buying extra bottles to take home, report The Associated Press.
The merchants are offering free storage boxes or discounted shipping, but they know that won’t help many of the nearly 15 million tourists expected this year: Sixteen states prohibit wine shipments, and others have partial bans on alcohol deliveries.
