- The Hilton group is planning to roll out its Hampton Inn and Suits, Hilton Garden Inn and Double Tree brands.
- The Accor Group is getting Sofitel, Novotel and Macure into the country.
- Starwood, the owners of Le Meridien and Sheraton, will be rolling out Aloft and Four Point.
- InterContinental Hotels is looking at introducing Holiday Inn and Express Holiday Inn.
- Worldhotels, Jemeirah and Per Aquum are also looking at coming in a big way.
Goa and Kerala are the likely investment destinations along with the metros and the smaller business hubs. Industry players say most of the new projects will be new developments. Few hotels in India can be taken over by big foreign chains. "We are acquiring sites and are at this point committed to six, the first to be in Mumbai.
