As hostilities continue between Israel and Lebanon, Israel's 2006 vintage is under threat from the Katyusha rockets that Hezbollah fighters holed up in Lebanon continue to fire into the country, reports Decanter.com.

The Hezbollah have fired thousands of rockets into the Galilee, the location of Israel's main wineries -- Galil Mountain, Dalton and Carmel's new winery at Ramat Dalton.

There are 600ha of vineyards in the Galilee, Israel's finest wine region. Apart from Carmel, Dalton and Galil Mountain, other wineries such as Amphorae, Barkan, Flam, Margalit, Recanati and Saslove all produce their best wines from Upper Galilee vineyards.
