A model was forced to reveal embarrassing details about her personal life as she fought a court battle to avoid a driving ban, report The Telegraph, London.

Caprice Bourret admitted drink-driving but blamed her mistake on a prescription drug she was taking. She said she had been taking the antibiotic Cipro to tackle a urinary infection and that it affected how her body coped with the alcohol.

Giving evidence at Highbury Corner magistrates' court, Caprice said she had drunk red wine on two occasions in the 16 hours before her arrest. The model, who sat barefoot in the dock holding a tube of lipgloss, said she drank a bottle and a half of red wine at a lunch in Soho which began at 11.30 am on December 9.
