Anheuser-Busch officials have reportedly visited India to hold talks on a joint venture with local brewer Crown Breweries, Just-Drinks.com reports, quoting The Economic Times. The pink paper said Steve Burrows, President and CEO of Anheuser-Busch international arm, had met officials of Crown Breweries on setting up the greenfield project just outside Hyderabad.
The paper said Burrows had met local industry heavyweights Prasad Rao and Srikant Reddy, who had built India's largest brewery, Charminar Breweries, which they later sold to Shaw Wallace.
