Foster's has put another three wineries, one wine brand and several production facilities up for sale, as part of its consolidation of the A$3.1-billion Southcorp acquisition it had completed in June last year, reports Scott Rochfort of the Sydney Morning Herald. The company said it planned to sell the Rosemount Denman Hunter Valley and Seppeltsfield Barossa Valley wineries, and the Domaine La Motte in the south of France.
But Foster's could take some time to offload the businesses. It is yet to sell the Jamiesons Run Winery in the Coonawarra and Rothbury Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley, both put up for sale last August. A Foster's spokesman said the sale of the businesses was in the final stages. The divestments will leave Foster's with 20 wineries - 11 in Australia, eight in North America and one in Europe.
