After exporting 250,000 of the 730,000 bottles they produced in 2005, Grover Vineyards are planning to raise the volume of exports to 40% of their production within the next two years. Speaking with delWine, Kapil Grover, Managing Director, Grover Vineyards, said that his immediate objective was to raise the exports to Europe from this year's level of 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 bottles.
He's eyeing the Benelux countries for this expansion. The company is also preparing the ground to enter the Japanese market after completing the required paperwork.
Grover says UK, despite having so many Indian restaurants, is the most difficult market, but he's confident that it may not be a problem if he appoints a full-time representative for the market.
