Vinoble 2008 is going to give special emphasis to the consumption of fortified, dessert and sweet wines, known as the Noble wines. Taking advantage from the presence of the world's best sommeliers at Vinoble, an International Sommeliers Conference will be held for the first time in the history of the exhibition. It will deal with issues concerning the profession and the promotion of wine, especially the fortified, dessert and special sweet varieties. .
Additionally, the 2008 exhibition will include three new countries: Mexico, Turkey and Jordan, so the participating countries will now total 22. Vinoble 2006 attracted 19 countries, 85 stands, more than 400 wineries and 1,200 wines.
Wines from Sauternes - including Chateau d'Yquem which has been displayed at two Vinoble tastings - from Alsace, Banyuls, Tokay from Hungary, Vin Santo from Italy, ports, Eiswein from Germany, Austria and Canada, and wines from Australia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Romania, Slovenia and Geogia will be there. From Spain there will be moscatels from Malaga, fondillones from Alicante, sweet wines from Jumilla and Yecla and, of course, the sherries of Jerez.
The International Noble Wines Exhibition is the only wine show dedicated exclusively to fortified, dessert, and natural sweet wines. It is held every two years in Jerez de la Frontera, the Andalusian town that shares its name (sherry in English) with one of the most famous wines produced in Spain.
The Vinoble site is Jerez's Arab Alcazar whose interior encloses the Renaissance Palace of Villavicencio. The stands are installed in the palace's rooms and gardens.
If you are an importer interested in importing Noble wines, this unique show offers once-in-two-years opportunity to source them from all around the world.
