The world's third-largest brewer by volume, SABMiller, looks set to snap up a majority stake in Mohan Meakin, reports www.just-drinks.com.
The London-listed brewing giant, which is also India's second-largest beer maker, has long been considered the front-runner to strike a deal with Mohan Meakin. The Indian brewer, which holds around 8% of India's beer market, is looking to cede control of its beer business. It is believed to have received ex-pressions of interest from other global brewers, including Heineken and InBev.
