The French radical wine producers association CRAV has set the country's new state president Nicolas Sarkozy an ultimatum, and has threatened to carry out severe terrorist attacks, reports wein-plus.com.
A masked group of CRAV (Comité régional d'action viticole) members, in a video broadcast by national television channels, threatened to execute terrorist attacks if the new president did not ensure higher wine prices within a month. No regard would be taken of human lives in future, said the terror group, which compares itself with the French Résistance in the Second World War.
In recent years, CRAV has repeatedly executed terrorist attacks, however this has up to now resulted only in damage to property. The movement has its origins in the significantly reduced wine prices achieved mainly in the Languedoc region, which has already driven some producers to ruin. Source: http://www.wein-plus.com |
