Bordeaux wine brand Mouton Cadet has been named official wine sponsor of this year's Tribeca Film Festival in New York, to be held from April 25 to May 6, reports Drinks International.
The festival, founded by a group including actor Robert de Niro to help regenerate Lower Manhattan following the 9/11 attacks, claims to be the fastest-growing in North America, this year featuring more than 250 films from over 40 countries.
The deal, signed by Mouton Cadet's importer, the Constellation-owned North Lake Wines, means the AOC Bordeaux red and white wines will be poured at all festival events, including luncheons, parties, receptions and awards dinners.
In the past, Mouton Cadet, owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, has been a sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival.
