| Wine Business International, an international wine business magazine published in Germany is conducting a Poll to find out who are the movers and shakers on the Indian wine scene.
The results will be announced in the Vinexpo special edition of the magazine that will be released in Bordeaux during Vinexpo. Various categories of wine business including the Best Producer, Best Importer, Best Hotel List etc. will be selected by people in the trade and other stakeholders.
The results will be based on the response sent to over 500 persons. The delWine subscribers who are resident of India and are connected with wine in some way are encouraged to mail in their preferences.
WBI is putting together an international who's who of wine trade chosen by their peers. It has already conducted a Poll in the UK in conjunction with Robert Joseph and Charles Metcalfe. India is the second country selected as WBI rates it as the most important emerging wine market. Says Joel Payne, Editor of the magazine and a co-author of the well known German Wine Guide Gault Millau, 'we feel Indian market is poised to take off and the results would be of great interest to our readers. We have selected only a few important categories for our initiative this year but we propose to expand the list in the following years'.
