According to the Drinks International Editor, Shay Watterworth, \u201cEach year our Academy pool grows stronger and I firmly believe it\u2019s the most authoritative collection of independent wine experts in the trade\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers rotate a percentage of the judges every year to ensure a true and fair representation of the global trade. Each member of the \u2018Academy\u2019 gets to name the 5 most admired brands (not the companies) and the Top 50 names are arrived at, based on these calculations.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 list featured two new brands, Screaming Eagle from the US and Australia\u2019s Tyrrell\u2019s which took the award for Highest New Entry.
