Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is generally known in India to offer courses in wine but not much is known about the Sake stream launched in 2014 and a decade later they are now set to launch a new stream- Beer Qualification at Level 1 ad Level 2 Awards from February 2024, per their announcement, reports Subhash Arora<\/div><div class=\"articledata\"><figure id=\"attachment_lft\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-lft\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianwineacademy.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/wset-Sara.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11022\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; The team has been supported by <strong>Mirella Amato<\/strong>, Senior Business Development Manager \u2013 Beer,\u00a0WSET\u00a0Americas \u2013\u00a0world-renowned beer educator and consultant<\/p><p>WSET\u00a0Level 1 and 2 Awards in Beer will provide both trade professionals and beer enthusiasts with product knowledge and tasting skills.\u00a0 The Level 1 qualification is aimed at anyone towards the start of their beer journey and runs over six hours without private study; Level 2 is more in-depth and includes 16 hours of learning with a course provider and further private study.<\/p><p><strong>Also Read : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianwineacademy.com\/item_3_826.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #990000;\">Star Interview: Ian Harris, the dynamic CEO of WSET visits India<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cIt gives you a really good vocabulary and a good base to build up that confidence and be able to have those conversations,&#8221; says Sara, adding, \u201cof course, you know how to taste and walk around with taste buds all day, every day. Using\u00a0WSET\u2019s trademarked Systematic Approach to Tasting, students will be equipped with a universal language to describe what they\u2019re tasting and a framework for assessing quality.<\/p><p><strong>Michelle Brampton<\/strong>,\u00a0WSET\u00a0CEO, says: \u201cExtending our qualifications to encompass beer is an exciting time for\u00a0WSET\u00a0and a natural fit for us as leaders in global drinks education.\u00a0Bringing over 50 years of educational experience to the beer category, our new Level 1 and 2 Awards in Beer will bring a unique and interactive approach to tasting and learning. Wine still remains the strongest performing qualification for\u00a0WSET,\u00a0with candidates making up 88% of its student base in the last academic year.
