NY company merely fined $1M for selling unregistered labelled Beer
June 03: American Craft Brewery, a subsidiary of the Boston Beer Company has been fined $975,000 to settle the charges for selling1.4 million cases valued at more than $24 million in sales for the unregistered brand label registrations required by law, similar to States in India, but interestingly the offer of fine was made by the company and accepted by the government and there is no case of prosecution or sending senior executives in jail, as would have happened in India.
